KU Libraries now provides access to Inside Higher Ed
Members of the KU community on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses now have unlimited access to Inside Higher Ed, a leading online publication covering news, analysis and commentary on higher education, through a new institutional subscription provided by KU Libraries.
“Since announcing its intention to move behind a paywall in March, we have been working towards the institutional subscription.” KU Libraries Head of Collections Strategy and Development Sara E. Morris said. “We heard from many faculty and staff once the paywall kicked in on April 23 and are happy to announce that KU users have unlimited access to Inside Higher Ed.”
The resource is particularly valuable for students, faculty, and staff engaged in teaching, research, administration, and graduate or professional development. Inside Higher Ed joins The Chronical of Higher Education already provided to the KU community through KU Libraries.
When accessing Inside Higher Ed from KU’s Lawrence or Edwards campus network or IP address, access is recognized automatically. Users may be prompted to register for a personal account, which will also allow them to save items such as job listings or receive the Insider Higher Ed newsletter.
