Full-text electronic versions of Chinese academic periodicals in Series F: Literature/History/Philosophy (1915- ) and Series G: Politics/Military Affairs/Law (2005- ). Except for those journals in the Century Journal Project, most journal coverage is limited to the above subscription starting year to present. Please note that searches may retrieve articles outside KU's full-text coverage which you will not be able to download. Please use Interlibrary Loan service to request these materials.

Chinalawinfo.com is a Chinese language legal information database covering laws and regulations, cases, and law journals from the People's Republic of China. "In the database you could find all the laws and administrative regulations, ministerial rules, judicial interpretations of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, judgments, local regulations and rules, Chinese-foreign treaties and pacts, economic statutes of Hong Kong and Taiwan, legal documentations, as well as the protocols of China's accession to the WTO and the annexes thereof, reports of the Working Committee, Chinese and English texts of the legal documents of the WTO and the amendments to Chinese laws and regulations after China's accession to the WTO." Chinamaxx digital libraries

Full-text Chinese e-books and reprint journals covering a variety of subject areas published since 1900 with the majority after 1949. The database has an access to "Duxiu," a meta search engine with limited access to full-text of Chinese e-books, periodicals, dissertation/thesis, and patents. Please note that Duxiu searches may bring up contents outside KU's full-text coverage which you will not be able to download. Please use Interlibrary Loan service to request these materials. Technical Requirements: This database is compatible with PCs and IE browser only. Page image and its full text (with provided OCR tool to convert image to text) can be printed one page at a time. 

Da Ming shi lu (Veritable records of the Ming dynasty)

Ming shi lu is the collective name for the official annals of the emperors of Ming China (1368-1644). Each shi-lu is the account of one emperor's reign and was compiled after the emperor's death from a number of sources created during his reign. The entire collection is available as a full-text searchable database.

Digital dictionary of Buddhism

Muller's Digital Dictionary of Buddhism (DDB) is a compilation of Buddhist terms and texts--as well as names of temples, schools, and people--found in East Asian Buddhist canonical sources. The dictionary project, which began in 1986, is thought to be the most comprehensive compilation of Buddhist terms available in English today.

Duxiu Knowledge Search Database

DuXiu is a Chinese database with a discovery search system of more than 3 million Chinese bibliographic entries and 2 million scholarly resources in all subjects and formats (books, journal articles, newspapers, theses, conference proceedings, videos, and webpages).

Encyclopedia of Chinese language and linguistics

The Encyclopedia of Chinese Language and Linguistics offers a systematic and comprehensive overview of the languages of China and the different ways in which they are and have been studied. It provides authoritative treatment of all important aspects of the languages spoken in China, today and in the past, from many different angles, as well as the different linguistic traditions they have been investigated in.

Han da wen ku : CHANT (Chinese Ancient Texts) Center

CHANT is an on-going project of collections of Chinese ancient texts. KU Libraries have access to the following contents in CHANT: Database of Bronze Inscriptions (Jin wen 金文); Excavated Wood/Bamboo and Silk Scripts (Zhu jian bo shu I, II, III 竹簡帛書 I, II, III ); Database of Traditional Chinese Texts: Xian Qin Liang Han, pre-220AD (先秦兩漢), and free vocabulary dictionaries.

Han ji dian zi wen xian zi liao ku

The Scripta Sinica is one of the largest Chinese full text databases which encompass all core materials of Chinese history and Chinese classics. The database has been compiled since 1984, by the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Please click on 授權使用 (Authorized users) to access the source.
