NetNewsWire is a very popular RSS news reader for the Mac. The lite version is free to download and install while the full version currently costs about $25. This news reader offers excellent functionality and can be fully customized. NetNewsWire also uses the three panel design found in many of the Windows news readers. The left panel lists the current subscriptions. The upper right panel gives a listing of current the current headlines for a chosen subscription. The lower right panel shows headline briefs and the full article if desired.
NetNewsWire offers a simplified subscription feature, which allows you to pick up subscriptions from any site offering a news feed, without cutting and pasting URL's.
NetNewsWire also offers a full range of categorizing and archiving tools. You can create files to store subscription information, headlines and articles.
