| Welcome to the Kansas Regents Library Database Consortium website!! History and Background The Regents Library Database Consortium (RLDC) was organized in 1996 as a cooperative resource-sharing initiative of the Kansas Regents University Libraries. It currently comprises 16 Libraries throughout the state. In 2002, the RLDC—in collaboration with the Kansas State Library,
Johnson County Library, and Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library—negotiated
the purchase of full text database access on behalf of the entire state. Goal and Mission The main goal of the RLDC is to negotiate consortial database subscriptions and services on behalf of all members of the Regents Libraries Database Consortium. A further goal is to promote interconnectivity among member institutions to facilitate access to university collections and resources for Kansas students and residents. Finally, the RLDC serves its members by reviewing all cooperative licensing agreements for consistency.
