Request Articles, Books, & More ~ How Long Will It Take

Our delivery time of materials from KU Libraries collections to KU faculty, staff, and students is typically 1 to 3 days. This includes KU Libraries loans retrieved from the KU Libraries and made available at KU Libraries' service desks through Retrieve From Shelf; delivered to Lawrence campus faculty/staff departments through TripSaver; and articles and book chapters scanned and delivered electronically.

Loans and copies from other libraries

For loans and copies obtained from other libraries via Interlibrary Loan you can view the following turnaround time from patron submission to being available to patrons including weekends:

Articles February 2012 through April 2012:

2% filled within 2 hrs
7% filled within 4 hrs
14% filled within 1/2 day
43% filled within 1 day
66% filled within 2 days
78% filled within 3 days
87% filled within 4 days
91% filled within 5 days
96% filled within 10 days

Loans February 2012 through April 2012:

5% filled within 2 days
15% filled within 3 days
26% filled within 4 days
41% filled within 5 days
62% filled within 7 days
74% filled within 10 days
