Turnaround Time for ILL Article Requests

During September 2008 the KU Libraries received the following:

Articles:
11 % were filled within 1/2 day (6% in Sept. 2007; 5% in Oct/Nov 2006)
37 % were filled within 1 day (45% in Sept. 2007; 28% in Oct/Nov 2006)
60 % were filled within 2 days (67% in Sept. 2007; 54% in Oct/Nov 2006)
72 % were filled within 3 days (78% in Sept. 2007; 68% in Oct/Nov 2006)
85 % were filled within 4 days (87% in Sept. 2007; 79% in Oct/Nov 2006)
90 % were filled within 5 days (92% in Sept. 2007; 87% in Oct/Nov 2006)
96 % were filled within 10 days (96% in Sept. 2007; 95% in Oct/Nov 2006)

During September 2008 the KU Libraries received the following:

Loans:
5 % were filled within 2 days (5% in Sept. 2007; 2% in Oct/Nov 2006)
11 % were filled within 3 days (13% in Sept. 2007; 9% in Oct/Nov 2006)
21 % were filled within 4 days (26% in Sept. 2007; 13% in Oct/Nov 2006)
33 % were filled within 5 days (40% in Sept. 2007; 26% in Oct/Nov 2006)
47 % were filled within 6 days (50% in Sept. 2007; 36% in Oct/Nov 2006)
55 % were filled within 7 days (57% in Sept. 2007; 45% in Oct/Nov 2006)
62 % were filled within 8 days (63% in sept. 2007; 51% in Oct/Nov 2006)
68 % were filled within 9 days (67% in Sept. 2007; 56% in Oct/Nov 2006)
71 % were filled within 10 days (72% in Sept. 2007; 61% in Oct/Nov 2006)

Time is calculated from the time that a request is submitted to the time that the article is made available electronically and when the loan is available to the patron. Calculations include weekends.
