Explanation of the service
Ingenta's email table-of-contents and subject alerting service, IngentaConnect Saved Searches and New Issue Alerts, are important tools for keeping up with the current literature in scholarly journals, including those not held by the Libraries. Through IngentaConnect, users can:
  • Select up to 50 journals from the IngentaConnect database and receive the tables of contents of each new issue by email.
  • Select up to 25 keywords and/or author names and receive matching article citations on a weekly basis.

The tables of contents and article citations are generated from Ingenta Connect's database of more than 28,000 journals.

Requesting article
Please request desired articles from journals not held by the KU Libraries through WebRetrieve, our online interlibrary loan request system. Almost 50 percent of requests placed through WebRetrieve are delivered to patrons within 2 days. If you wish, you may order articles from Ingenta but the KU Libraries will not subsidize these orders.

You may also request copies from print journals held in the KU Libraries through WebRetrieve. Verify what is held in the KU Library Catalog and enter your request, including call number and locationk, in WebRetrieve. We strongly suggest you check for full-text access first since we license many electronic journals.
