Research Insight Plugin Download Page
Research Insight contains financial information for 18,000 companies and provides access to reports and company performance charts including financial statements, company and industry ratios, market summaries, forecasts, total returns, sales growth, and price and earnings momentum. Company data covers the last 20 years.
Research Insight is available in 2 versions:
- CD-ROM: This version has more reports and more screening capability than the Excel version. It is updated quarterly, and available in Anschutz Library, Regents Center Library, and Summerfield Hall. Consult library staff for assistance.
- Excel: This version works with Research Insight on the Web (RI Web), which is updated daily. It requires special software to run. This software is installed on computers in the reference area of Anschutz Library and on computers in the Regents Center Library. KU students, faculty and staff who wish to download the RI Web plugin to their own computers must follow the instructions below. Please note that RI Web is only available on campus, or with a KU IP address (beginning with 129.237).
- Click here to download the RI Web Plugin installation program for Windows (size: 4 MB). The file can be downloaded anywhere on your hard drive (c:\).
- Run the installation program (spriweb.exe) by double-clicking.
- Accept all defaults, clicking "Next," "Install," and "Finished" when prompted.
- After these files are downloaded, you will be able to access RI Web through Microsoft Excel. When you open Excel, you will see a new toolbar with RI Web and RI Web Tools.
