The University of Kansas Libraries
New Students
Welcome to the Edwards Campus and the Regents Center Library! In addition to the information on our website, we're also happy to meet with all students for one-on-one appointments, tailored to your needs.
How to Get a KU Card
Ask at the administration front desk to begin. They will give you a temporary card and page IT to take your picture. After IT takes your picture, you will be able to check out books and reserve items, but you won’t be able to print. It takes several days for the card center to make the card and send it to our campus. Cards are delivered to the library: you can pick up your new card whenever the library is open.
How to Print
You must have a KU Card, a KU email address (even if you don’t use it!) and be an enrolled student in order to print. If you experience problems, please ask for assistance at the IT desk or library circulation desk.
Other Resources
For technology questions, please see Technology Troubleshooting. For research how-to's, see Research. Our classes and events are listed here. And we're always happy to help in person or by phone at (913) 897-8570.
In order to use most library resources, including printing, you will need the following:
- A KU Card
- A KU email address (even if you don’t use it!)
- Be a currently enrolled student (some services are only available after the official beginning of the semester)
