Erin Pfannenstiel named KU Libraries 2009 Support Staff Employee of the Year

On May 15, KU Libraries announced the recipient of its 2009 Support Staff Employee of the Year Award (SSEYA): Erin Pfannenstiel. An excerpt from Erin's nomination:

Erin’s positive attitude, support, and enthusiasm are just a few of the qualities that make her such an important asset to the University of Kansas Libraries.  She goes out of her way to make the work environment as pleasant and personal as possible....She is a wonderful example of what it looks like to go above and beyond one’s job description, and the libraries are a better place to be because of her work. Erin is a very caring and respectful coworker and highly deserving of this award.

In addition to the $500 award, Erin's name will be added to a plaque honoring past winners, and will be recognized at KU Libraries' Celebration of Excellence in the fall
