2007 Rubinstein/Mason Award Presented to Megan Berry

Megan Berry is the recipient of the 2007 KU Libraries' Rubinstein/Mason Award. Berry's professional aspirations and her intent to pursue a master's degree in library and information studies make her a worthy recipient.

Berry, a student employee at the Spencer Research Library, earned a B.G.S in history in 2006 and is currently enrolled at KU. She plans to work in the field of information management as a librarian or archivist. Towards that end, she has successfully applied to the University of Michigan School of Information and to the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University.

The Rubinstein/Mason Award is made possible by charitable contributions to the University of Kansas Endowment Association in honor of the late Joseph Rubinstein, first head of the KU Libraries' Department of Special Collections, and Alexandra Mason, Spencer Librarian Emerita. It recognizes their intellectual excellence and commitment to the standards of principled librarianship and is intended for a student employee who plans to pursue a career in librarianship or archival administration.
