The Office of Research and Graduate Studies will hold a briefing on the new NIH Public Access Policy on Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. in the Higuchi Biosciences Auditorium on the KU-Lawrence West Campus. This policy requires all peer-reviewed articles accepted for publication on or after April 7, 2008, that resulted in whole or in part from NIH-funded research to be submitted to the PubMed Central (PMC) repository upon acceptance for publication.
At the briefing, Holly Mercer, Interim Coordinator for Scholar Services, will discuss what steps researchers need to take to comply with this new policy, outline the resources and support available to researchers from Information Services (including KU Scholarworks), and answer questions. Also participating will be Bill Sharp, Director of Research Integrity in the Office of Research and Graduate Studies.
