Extended hours and free refreshments for night owls at Watson and Anschutz during finals
Posted Dec. 1, 2010
Finals week, although at the same time every year, always manages to sneak up on us. As long days turn into long nights of little sleep, students need a warm place to refuel, relax and—of course—study. KU Libraries can help ensure a stable study environment for the time-consuming week.
Both Watson and Anschutz Libraries will extend their hours to meet student needs during this hectic period.
Starting Dec. 3, Watson will remain open until 3 a.m. on weekdays and until 10 p.m. on weekends.
Starting Dec. 5, Anschutz will be open for 24 hour study, with extended checkout services until midnight on all nights. Spahr Engineering Library is open Sundays through Thursdays as a 24 hour study facility until Dec. 16.
Along with the extended hours, Anschutz and Watson will offer free coffee and hot chocolate at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12 through Thursday, Dec. 16.
On Monday, Dec. 13 from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., KU Dining Services will offer made-to-order omelets for $4.09 (plus tax) at Anschutz Library. The Hawk Food Stop at Anschutz will also offer 24 hour service from Sunday, Dec. 12 until the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 16. The Hawk Food Stops in Watson and Spahr will also have extended hours during finals.
