Circulation Policy

Circulation desk at the Music and Dance Library

The Thomas Gorton Music and Dance LIbrary is open to any on-site user. Our primary clientele are KU faculty, staff and students. Kansas residents may apply for library borrowing privileges at the circulation desk of Watson Library, 1425 Jayhawk Boulevard.

Most books in the Music and Dance Library can be checked out with a valid KU Card for a period of 6 weeks. (KU faculty, staff, and graduate students have a loan period of 4 months.) Materials on loan may be recalled at any time from any borrower.

On-site course reserve materials will have varying loan periods depending on the instructor. Some items may be used only in the library while others may be checked out for short periods.

Please consult the KU Libraries Circulation Policies and Procedures for more information.
