PRIMARY INDEXES

MLA International Bibliography (ERL) - The MLA Bibliography covers the years 1963 to the present and includes citations to journal articles from more than 3000 journals, monographs, essays, and dissertations related to research in all modern languages and literatures, literary theory, theatre, film and cultural studies.

Historical Abstracts (WWW) - Covers scholarly literature published between 1955 and the present. It indexes articles from over 2,100 (about 900 are published in the U.S.). Materials in many languages are indexed.

WorldCat (First Search) - containing more than 32 million records describing items owned by the KU Libraries and libraries around the world.


ADDITIONAL INDEXES

Arts & Humanities Search (First Search) - Indexes articles from leading arts and humanities journals. Contains articles and book reviews.

Dissertation Abstracts Online (First Search) - contains citations and abstracts from all subject areas for dissertations. Covers 1861 to date.

ELECTRONIC JOURNALS

JSTOR - a full text database of many core academic journals in a variety of disciplines.

Project Muse (WWW) - contains electronic editions of 46 journals in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics, published by the Johns Hopkins University Press since 1995. Since late 1999, Project Muse has been adding 51 additional journals from nine other university presses: Carnegie-Mellon, Duke, Indiana, MIT, Oxford, Pennsylvania State, Hawaii, Texas, and Wisconsin. ADMYTE: Archivo Digital de Manuscritos y Textos Españoles. - Provides transcriptions and facsimiles images of Spanish manuscripts and early printed texts. Disk 1 contains the digitized images and electronic transcriptions of 45 Spanish-language printed books dating 1471-1524 and covering a broad variety of fields (encyclopedias, grammar books and dictionaries, legal texts, scientific and medical texts, history and biography travel literature and poetry). Disk 0 contains machine-readable transcriptions of 64 medieval Spanish texts as well as other analysis tools or scholars with more complex requirements. In English and Spanish.
