Group Reports:
Grp 1: Acq/Ser, Reference, Collection Development, Administration, Facilities- New student assistant in the Administration Office
Grp 2: Cataloging
- N/A
Grp 3: Access Services, Mail Room, ILL
- ILL hiring more students. Lending has hired 7 (bringing the total to 28) Borrowing will hire to fill the “ILL returns” position.
- Later plans to redo CIC in Watson as well. Double the number of computers (17 to 33)
Grp 4: Anschutz, Annex, Art, Engineering, Music, RCL, Spencer
- ANSCHUTZ
- New student assistant in Svc Desk.
- Furniture is ready for the AIC conversion.
- ANNEX
- Received the Raymond order picker which will increase efficiency when working in the storage module. Also received Gryphon book trucks to use with the order picker and will be returning the wooden book trucks soon. Thanks to all who gave up wooden trucks so the Annex could get up and running!
- Accessioned 132,889 items as of 2/10/07 and used 10,612 trays.
- ART
- Hired new student assistant, bringing total to 10.
- Continuing to process e-reserves, unusually busy this Spring
- Heather, Ann and Susan have all been called for Jury duty over the last couple of months.
- ENGINEERING

- SPENCER
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Spencer Reader Services Dept is chock full of classes both regularly scheduled and one that meet once or twice a semester.
- Reading room is also very busy with students using materials for class assignments.
Committee Reports
Senate Committee on Libraries has not met.Diversity Committee has not met in Jan/Feb due to illnesses. The planned movie series with Kevin Wilmott will not happen in time for Black Histoy Month (this mont) Next meeting scheduled for Feb. 26th, 2007.
Staff Development Workshop
- Contingency plans for sessions without presenters
- Review “Issues in the Workplace” panel questions and propose presenters.
- Possiblitites: Donna Brewer, Ola Faucher, Kent Miller, Mary Roach, Lorraine Haricombe
- Approve email announcement to kulib-l
- Update website with “staff development” page
- includes background, schedule, registration form, administrative staff development news (InfoMatters and IS-Wide Professional Development Council announcement).
