Committee Reports
Staff Development Committee (SDC)
Report from Jeff McAdams (on behalf of):
We haven't met for a long while (since Nov. 4th). In that meantime, we have held a few programs: Open House at the Regents Center Library, Tami Albin's Spongebob presentation, and the upcoming "Assessing Information Literacy Skills in the Real World" by Ada Emmett and Judith Emde this Wed. Dec. 1.

We are also continuing to work on improving the SDC website to have more information on programs and relevant alerts, but also appear more appealing. Plus, we are thinking about sending out a survey for specific programs to tailor them for those who are interested.

As always, please send us any suggestions or comments, as we would love to work on them.

Diversity Committee
Continuing to work on Mentoring/Internship program , planning to work up final proposal in January to include research on areas in the libraries that could specifically benefit from this program. Estimate a draft ready for kulib-l by end February.

Movie series put on hold for the remainder of the year.

Classified Conference Personnel Committee (CCPC)
Will readdress convening in Jan 05.

Classified Senate
Report from Mike Rusche (on behalf of):
Classified Senate website has undergone major cosmetic and content changes, more in the works. The web address is http://www.ku.edu/~clsenate. Currently I am webmastering the site, but plan to hand off the duties to the Public Relations committee, if it becomes a permanent committee. Any suggestions for the website can be sent to mailto:clsenate@ku.edu.

We are also working on new methods to communicate with constituents, expect a few emails every month coming from the Classified Senate in the not too distant future.

We have moved our summer meetings from the Kansas Union to the Burge Union for anyone interested in attending, attached is a meeting schedule for the Full Senate and the Executive Board. If you would like to attend a meeting, please feel free to let one of your Senators know, so that we may expect you at the meeting.
If you are unsure of what EEO Group you are in, you can check http://www.ku.edu/~clsenate/eeo2000.shtml

The senators for each EEO Category are listed
http://www.ku.edu/~clsenate/senators.shtml

Also, in case anyone has not already heard, the U.S.S. (University Support Staff) Proposal has made it through its 2nd major hurdle now, as it has passed the Board of Regents. They have put it as one of their legislative priorities for the next year, we do not know how they will take it to the legislature but are all ecstatic that it did finally get through.
