This page contains career and job information related to East Asia. It
was created for the University of Kansas, Center
for East Asian Studies Career Opportunities In East Asian Studies Conference by
Vickie Fu Doll, Chinese Studies Librarian, East Asian Library, the University
of Kansas.
The purpose of this
page is to aid undergraduate and graduate students in East Asian studies
to search for jobs and careers in fields related to East Asia. This
page provides links to major Internet job search sites, job listings in
online newspapers, and jobs in higher education, business, government,
libraries, museums, and not-for-profit organizations pertaining to East
Asian business, language, or culture by subject specialty and/or special
skills and training.
Internet resources
must be balanced with traditional job search strategies. Most companies
do not use just Internet sites to list their job openings. Many traditional
job searches are being expanded on the Internet, but no one should totally
rely on the Internet as the only way of finding job information and for
distribution of resumes. Check the library for more information on job
searches in your field.
