Diversity committee notes 5 Dec.
Present: Erin, Michelle, Pamela, Julie

If we have agenda items, send them to Michelle, who will get us scheduled for meetings (between her and Erin)
Brainstorming ideas—movie series again. It was mentioned that Channette knows of a guy who used to be at Haskell who’s written a book and has a short video. -- Reading group again encouraged.
There’s been a request to have events offered on more than one day to possibly increase attendance.
There was discussion of a possible DIV COM open house, to show off what we’ve offered in the past, stories, ideas. Snacks would be offered, and we could have a suggestion box to find out what people would like to see from us. Updates on past events and/or follow-up.
We would like to have more acknowlegement within the libraries of various monthly events/celebrations (African-American History, Women’s History, Q&A Pride, etc.) A world calendar was also suggested. We will check into offering recipes again (probably a link on the website).
