SLIM program notice in InfoMatters—cool!
In November there was an International Education week, with a food and
film event happening at Watson. Thanks and yay to Julie for
helping with clean up and letting Jon Guilian and Vickie Doll know
that next year, if they need help with anything, let the Diversity
Committee know—that’s why we’re here!
We want to ask the Dean about using the display cases again. Can
they be used by anyone other than International programs?
We would like to revive the film series for February—Black
History Month. Show ‘Confederate States of America’? Have
Kevin Wilmot as guest speaker? Channette will call him.
Erin talked about her sign language class and the final
project, which is going to a restaurant as a class and communicate without
words and gage other’s reactions. Interesting stories of
last year’s/semester’s same event.
The meeting schedule for next semester will probably change.
