Donna attended the Tilford Diversity meeting in Wichita
in Oct. (name of speaker?) She explained that there were a number
of scenarios and discussion, particularly aimed at grade/high school
levels, such as equality, encountering sexism in the hallways and
awareness for classroom teachers especially.
Another speaker was Louis Duguid, a KC Star editoral writer.
Regents Center school heads panel. Discussion of minority faculty,
visiting professors etc. and their level of involvement with students.
It was mentioned that there could/should be some training on cultural
awareness and customer service, especially for new students.
