Diversity committee meeting notes
1 August, 2005
Present: Erin, Michelle, Channette, Pamela, Julie, Donna, Sherry
Discussion about movie/video options—what we own is either too long
or old. Pamela and Michelle will look into ILLing videos. Suggestion included
looking at the ARL website and Univ. of Maryland for ideas.
Channette brought in a book (KU owned) called “When Generations Collide”.
Passed around—very interesting—chapters on motivation, jargon,
discipline, etc. There are currently 4 generations working at the KU libraries.
Talked about early fall for first gathering/event to show we are still an
active group.
Sherry talked about and article on generational differences, which she will
email to us. This will probably be the first one for a round table lunchtime
discussion for anyone interested.
Next meeting will be after Labor Day.
