Diversity Committee notes 2 Feb.
Erin, Michelle, Pamela, Julie present
We discussed a possible event for later in the month (Feb. 23) for African
American History month—talk to members of Black Greek houses as a discussion
(brown bag lunch?) Perhaps include Hispanic students as well (?) Channette
will send a list of contacts to Erin.
Event for March: 16th March in the CIC, ‘Money Moccasins and Murder’
(tentative date). We might have the possibility to meet with the author, but
we’d like to show the film, at least.
Event for April: Diversity Committee Open House—April 19th, 1-3 in the
conference room/Watson. We can show the exhibit from last year, have updates
on past events and concerns (residency program), recruit and have a suggestion
box…’what would you like to see or hear about from the DIVCOM?’
We could share culture and any hidden talents. We’d have snacks, of
course.
