IS Diversity Committee's Goals

Goals for 2007

1. Continue to pursue the establishment of a Minority Internship and Residency Program in cooperation with Emporia State's SLIM program.

2. Establish a relationship with IT/NTS staff as well as continue our working relationship with KU Libraries.

3. Recruit new members IS-wide and establish a delegation of tasks among the group members.

4. Continue progress with the KU Libraries Diversity Committee Website.

5. Continue with the Diversity Movie Series.

6. Continue with the Diversity Readings Series.

7. Network with other campus Diversity groups for input and cooperation on events.

8. Contribute to an overall Student/Staff orientation program with diversity information.

9. Have a Diversity Committee open house to present information about our group and showcase past events.

10. Designate a committee treasurer to handle the committee's budget.
