    Presents some of the most famous typefaces ever created along with its history and links to current applications.
  • Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts

    A public, nonprofit, educational institution in Helena, MT. whose primary mission is to provide an environment that stimulates creative work in ceramics. Offers artists' residencies, exhibitions, classes and an online gallery.
  • Book Arts Web

    Provides links to a large selection of book arts related sites on the web, including educational opportunities, professional organizations, tutorials, reference materials, and galleries with images.
  • Crafts Council Hub

    The British Crafts Council has launched an online research hub with various craft research links and resources. Bringing together research reports, blogs, conference proceedings and online discussion groups with links to academic research centres and major public sector research agencies, the hub is set to become a significant resource for contemporary craft research in the UK.
  • Designboom

    Milan based resource covering the fields of art, design and architecture since 1999. Offers snapshot reports from international design shows, architecture and art exhibitions; interviews and portraits of the protagonists in the contemporary creative scene; design history and in-depth information on the creators of design classics. Designboom also organizes international design competitions, offers non-academic design online education courses, sponsors markets, and has an online shop.
  • Digital Library for the Decorative Arts and Material Culture

    Collects and creates electronic resources for study and research of the decorative arts, with a particular focus on Early America. Included are electronic texts and journals, image databases, and information on organizations, museums and research facilities. Made possible by the Chipstone Foundation, the site was created and is maintained at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries.

    Online, searchable directory of design institutions, events, and publications by specific subject and location.

    The Research section includes links to full texts of articles on interior design that are searchable by topic, by client type, or by resource type. Also includes a Message Board, an Event Calendar, and a listing of Continuing Education options.

    A library of more than 1,500 classic typefaces and innovative new designs.
  • Material conneXion

    With information about more than 3000 materials and processes, the online database is searchable by keyword, material type, manufacturer name, and manufacturer location. Entries for the materials include technical information such as properties and applications along with high quality photographs.

  • TypeIndex.org: Home of the International Type Index

    A non-profit organization based in France whose objective is to help both font authors and font users. Includes an Index of possibly all existing fonts in the world with freeware, shareware and commercial fonts as well as a search engine that allows you to browse through all these fonts using 13 user-oriented criteria.
