Shuttle Service Information


Kansas City International Airport (MCI)-Lawrence

Shuttle service rates from KCI Airport to Lawrence vary considerably from $55 and up for one-way service, depending on method of payment and number of passengers per trip.  The best bet, as you will notice below, is for several of you to coordinate your schedules for pick-up at the same time to benefit from the per-trip rates offered by BATS or GTI.  We are requesting people’s arrival times at KCI on the registration form and will share this information on request so that you can make plans for multi-person pickups if you wish to pursue this option.  Please also note that I am refraining from listing any companies whose services have received negative reviews.  (kpl/10.30.09)

 

Better Alternative Transportation Service (BATS)

  • $70 one-way per-trip charge for maximum of 5 passengers, 4 if you have excessive luggage.
  • 24-hour service by appointment, reservations at least 1 day in advance preferred.
  • Plan to provide airline flight #, time of arrival, and cell phone # or email when you place your reservation.

  • Shuttle service available with pick-up at KCI four times daily, at 6:30 am, 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 6:00 pm.   $65 one way if paid by credit card; $55 if paid in cash. 
  • Towncar service available for maximum of 3 passengers, all picked up at same time, $105 one-way per trip.  This service is available around the clock. 
  • Reservations required at least 1 day in advance, sooner if possible.

  • Please note that this service delivers or drops off ONLY at the Holiday Inn, 200 McDonald Drive, in Lawrence.  This is not one of the conference hotels.  If you decide to use this service, please contact us beforehand so that we can meet you at the Holiday Inn to take you to your hotel.
