What is a Proxy Borrower Card?
University of Kansas faculty, staff, graduate students, and individuals with special needs who have valid KU Libraries privileges may sponsor up to three individuals to act as their library proxies. All privileges granted are governed by the University of Kansas Libraries Access Policy and Circulation Policies and Procedures.
Proxies will be granted the same privileges as the Proxy Sponsor, and, when applicable, include Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services. The Proxy may check out library materials and request library services on behalf of the sponsor. The Proxy Borrower Card does not include copying or printing capabilities.
The Proxy should be a person trusted by the Sponsor to act on his/her behalf. The Proxy need not be eligible for KU library privileges. The Proxy should have a valid photo ID and be 18 years of age or older.
