Identification and Eligibility Requirements to Purchase KU Library Borrower Card
Upon submission of the application form, a photo of the applicant will be taken, and a temporary paper borrower card (8½” x 11” sheet) will be provided in order for borrowing privileges to begin immediately. The KU Library Borrower Card will be mailed within two weeks to the address recorded on the application form.
As per University policy for any KU Library Borrower Card applicant, the card will not be issued or renewed if the applicant owes any charges to the University or is otherwise restricted by the Libraries’ policies. Current borrowers may review items checked out and any Fines or Fees currently due by consulting My Account via the Library Catalog. Charges transferred to the KU Bursar’s Office for collection will not be reflected in the My Account information.
