56th Annual Snyder Book Collecting Contest
Deadlines and Dates
All entries are due by 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 30th, 2012. Late entries will not be considered.
Final judging will occur on Thursday, April 19th, 2012.
Prizes
Awards will be offered in both Graduate and Undergraduate divisions.
- First Prize: $600
- Second Prize: $400
- Honorable Mention: $100
Each winner will receive a cash award and a gift card from Jayhawk Ink, a division of KU Bookstore.
Awards Reception & Ceremony
The awards program will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Watson Library.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a reception and opportunity to view student collections from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
Awards will be presented at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation by James Gunn, Professor Emeritus in English and Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction at KU.
