Course Reserves
Blackboard is the one, campus-wide solution for online, electronic course content management. For more information, see What are my Course Reserve Options?
On-Site reserves are for check-out by your students at the library desk. To place items on on-site reserve, complete a Reserve Request Form located online (PDF or Word) or at the Regents Center Library. Materials owned by the libraries (books, journals, DVDs, etc) or personal copies of original materials may be placed on reserve. Any item which requires copyright compliance cannot be placed in On-Site Course Reserve. This means photocopies of journal articles or book chapters cannot be accepted. Additional information about On-Site Course Reserves can be found here.
For questions about Course Reserves, contact Jennifer Mellenbruch at (913) 897-8571 or by email.
Instruction
Make an appointment for a librarian to come to your classes. Librarians provide instruction in the use of library services and resources. Course related lectures and orientation to library services can be arranged at mutually convenient times by calling (913) 897-8572, or by email. To ensure librarian and classroom availability, arrangements should be made as soon as course schedules are complete for each academic period.
Blackboard
KU's Instructional Development and Support (IDS) has several Blackboard tutorials and walkthroughs. The tutorial for the newest version of Blackboard is here and a list of their tutorials and help files are here.
KU Scholarworks
KU ScholarWorks is a digital repository for scholarly work created by the faculty and staff of the University of Kansas. KU ScholarWorks makes important research available to a wider audience and helps assure its long-term preservation.
On February 11, 2010 the KU Faculty Senate passed a revised Open Access policy granting the University permission to deposit a copy of their scholarly work in an open access repository-- KU ScholarWorks. For information about the policy, "how to" documents, Q&A, addenda and more, please visit, http://openaccess.ku.edu.
For information about submitting to KU ScholarWorks please contact Marianne Reed, mreed@ku.edu. For information about KU ScholarWorks in general, please email, kuscholarworks@ku.edu.
