HNRS 492: Research Methods & Information Literacy in the Disciplines

Honors Library Research Seminars


KU Libraries,and the KU Honors Program, offers HNRS 492, a 1-credit Research Seminar Courses titled "Research Methods & Information Literacy."

These classes are structured around the major disciplinary areas:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences - Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 - 2:20 P.M.
  • Science and Technology - Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 - 3:50 P.M.

The courses run for an 8-week period beginning September 29, 2009 and run throughNovember 19, 2009 (week prior to Thanksgiving.) Each course hosts disciplinary faculty as guest speakers and associated subject librarians throughout the course to provide students with perspectives on what it means to be a faculty researcher, and dimensions of library and information research.
