| The GIS and Data Lab provides workspace for
KU students, staff and faculty, as well as assistance with numeric,
geospatial, statistical and related data. The Lab supports GIS and statistics-related
class work, teaching and research at KU. We are part of the new Scholar Services Program.

Hours and Location
We are open for walk-in use:
Mon-Thur 9am to 8pm, Fri 9am to 5pm, and Sat & Sun 1pm to 5pm, while
KU is in session.
Detailed hours. We are located in Anschutz
Library Room 105, adjacent to the Map
Collection.

Using the Lab and Getting Help
Stop by during open hours to work, or contact us at data@ku.edu to schedule a time to get help
with a project. Staff include: Jeff Bullington, 864-8945 (numeric, government information) and Rhonda Houser, 864-1238 (GIS,
spatial data). The Lab also includes workstations with CD and DVD burners, a document scanner, connections for laptop users, and a conference table and collaboration area for visitors. Please feel free to come in and use this lab for your research.

ESRI Data and Maps now includes 150m Earthsat imagery. Here is a sample showing Ayers Rock or Uluru in Australia.
Also new is the SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) elevation dataset. |
