On-site Access to Library Services


Even when not authorized for borrowing privileges, users have on-site access to the University of Kansas Libraries, where many, but not all, items in the collection may be accessed and read on the premises.

All library users, regardless of affiliation, may use many of the library databases while visiting the KU Libraries.  Off-campus access to electronic resources is determined by specific licenses with database vendors and is restricted to current KU faculty, students, staff, and authorized affiliates.

In some cases, restrictions to access may apply due to contractual agreements or preservation concerns.
